Birthing is Sonic Movie Maker's fifth stage. Following the events of Feeding, Sonic the Hedgehog is laying in a hospital room below a pullrope. With each pull of the rope, a previously-fed object will be "birthed" from Sonic with a loud pop. After birthing enough objects, Tails will ask to be rescued from Sonic's belly, and with another pull of the rope is forcefully ejected back into the world.

Gameplay[]

In Birthing, Tails resides in Sonic's inflated stomach. To be removed, the player must pull on the ring rope to continually 'pop' objects out of Sonic's belly. After enough objects have been popped out the speech bubble "Let me out of here!" will appear, and with another pull of the ring rope Tails is forcefully ejected from Sonic's anus. With this, a nearby hallway opens, which leads into a dark fleshy hall containing the exit.

While seemingly out of bounds, glitching into the room with Dr. Eggman reveals he indeed has dialogue, congratulating the player on reaching "his secret area", and offering a metaphorical "stogie" (frequently associated with childbirth celebrations). Exploring further out of bounds, particularly the far-off office buildings seen from the patio, strangely reveals a number of buildings populated with Eggys - and one building that emits a quick when clicked.

The brick wall to the rear of the hospital room is false. While it cannot be grabbed, there is a small cutout in the lower left corner that exposes a grabbable brick which will knock the wall over when pulled. Toppling the wall reveals a hidden room containing a poster of a Bill Clinton political cartoon edited with the password for accessing SegaNet.[1]
